Townhome Owner in Bethesda Upgrades their Kitchen with Silestone Quartz Counters
Bethesda is a city in Maryland that’s in proximity to many great destinations, like Washington D.C. It’s a part of Montgomery County, which is northwest of the U.S. capital. The name in Bethesda comes from a local church called the Bethesda Meeting House. It was first built back in 1820, then rebuilt later in 1849. It was also renamed Jerusalem’s Pool of Bethesda.
Back in 2014, Bethesda was listed first in Forbes’ list of America’s most educated small towns and first in top earning towns. There are no official boundaries in Bethesda, since it’s never been incorporated. The population in this city is over 63,300 people.
The area was first used by ancient Native Americans, who used it as a route for travels. The first European traveler to come through here was Henry Fleet, a trader of fur. He reached this destination by sailing on the Potomac River. He stayed with the Piscataway tribe for a year or two, then went back to England.
What’s Happening in Today’s Bethesda?
There are many fun happenings you can find going on throughout the year in Bethesda. Those who like to marvel over nature, monuments and great shopping malls will find it all here in this small town. You can partake in extravagant shopping or sightsee on your own or within one of the many tours in town. The great thing about this city is that many of the attractions can be enjoyed free of charge.
There are a total of 19 museums here that are of the Smithsonian Institution. These are free to the public, since they are publicly funded. If you have children, you can enjoy a day at the National Zoo, where you can see pandas and other wild animals. The United State Capitol Building is also here.
Kitchen Upgrade in Bethesda Townhouse
Townhomes offer a great mix of apartment amenities and house-like space. Residents of these intricate homes don’t have to worry about mowing lawns, but they are responsible for upgrading the proper when needed. One townhome owner decided it was time to contact KNC Granite to have his property updated with beautiful Silestone quartz slabs. He had the same done for one of his bathrooms and really liked the look of it. It was also quite simple to maintain.
Quartz is engineered by man, so it’s very durable and looks like natural stones, such as granite and marble. You can find an array of quartz stone colors, which is also what attracted this customer to contact us. He was referred to us from a friend in D.C. who had received our services in the past.
He decided to go with our Diamond package, which consists of 50sq feet of stone counter installations, free in-home estimate, fabrication, installation, sealer application and a free sink. He decided to go with one of our Blanco model sinks that we carry, which was made of stainless steel.
We Continue to Make Happy Customers
After our professionals completed the project, the townhome owner was so happy that he decided to hire us to perform more work on his property – this time on his other two full bathrooms. They needed new sinks and vanity counters. But instead, he wanted to try granite stone, since he heard so many great things about it.
As always, we provided speedy installations and cleanup services. There were absolutely no complaints coming from this client.
The Installation Process
During the free in-home estimation, our professionals took careful measurements of the kitchen counters. We provided the estimate, which is normally etched in stone, unless additional work is requested along the way. We then went back to our warehouse and fabricated the stone slab to fit the proportions of the kitchen counters.
The old counters needed to be removed, which were made of vinyl. This was the first thing we did when we arrived. We made sure to lay down cover paper to prevent damage from being caused to the wooden floors. Once the counters were removed, we started the installation. This only took a few hours to complete. The sink installation was a breeze as well.
